PHP Design Patterns Book
Only a year ago, I develop entirely object-oriented, primarily in PHP - _not_ die Where is my main activity. About Design Patterns, I am indeed been tripped, but was from the theoretical and often. Java burdensome treatment discouraged Though I know - without it - already used one or another pattern itself. This book has turned out to be a revelation for me (I swallowed it), because the author has managed to illustrate all the design patterns presented to understand the basis of a single PHP project (rental) - and indeed with the same per design, structured approach. This allows me to use this work as a later reference for the PHP practice. I wish to highlight the many patterns presented by the author used style, based on a design problem, an initial solution, which he then expands gradually to the optimum solution based on PHP examples. So I just learned about the possible pitfalls that I might meet with the design.

Foundation PHP 5 For Flash (Repost) Book
Publisher: Friends of Ed | ISBN: 1590594665 | edition 2005 | PDF | 684 pages | 16,3 mb
Our original Foundation PHP for Flash title was rightly regarded as a must-have title when it came to wanting to learn just how to make your Flash sites make use of backend technologies, that was published way back in the days of Flash 5 and PHP 4, and things move pretty fast in the world of web design!
This latest, completely rewritten, edition again brings together three of the web's hottest technologies--Flash, the server-side language PHP, and the MySQL database system. We've brought things bang up to date, using ActionScript 2.0, PHP 5.0, and MySQL 4.1, the book has been designed to be version-neutral. In other words, you can be confident that you're working with the latest standards, but that your applications won't break if deployed on an older server. The book also provides a brief introduction to an alternative database system, SQLite, which is now automatically bundled with PHP 5 and requires no installation.
At each stage of the book you'll be given an overview of a new area of PHP/MySQL, introducing you to the syntax while showing how it compares to ActionScript, and how it integrates with Flash to produce increasingly complicated applications. For example, earlier chapters cover things such as getting data from PHP to Flash and back again, variables, arrays, string manipulation, validating user input, and feedback forms. Later on, it moves on to more advanced subjects such as creating databases via the MySQL console and via phpMyAdmin, manipulating database data via a Flash interface, displaying data from an RSS feed in Flash, persisting data with sessions, and creating a full blown content management system.
In addition, to get you up and running, the book features a detailed guide to setting up your environment - PHP, MySQL, and the Apache web server - along with extensive troubleshooting information.
PHP is the language of choice on nearly 18 million domains, and MySQL has more than five million active users, including industry leaders like Google, the Associated Press, Sony, and NASA. They're open source and free; and with the help of this book, you'll see that they're easy and fun to learn.

PHP and MySQL Web Development {Repost} Book
Publisher: Addison-Wesley Professional | ISBN: 0672329166 | edition 2008 | PDF | 1008 pages | 11,8 mb
The PHP server-side scripting language and the MySQL database management system (DBMS) make a potent pair. Both are open-source products--free of charge for most purposes--remarkably strong, and capable of handling all but the most enormous transaction loads. Both are supported by large, skilled, and enthusiastic communities of architects, programmers, and designers. PHP and MySQL Web Development introduces readers (who are assumed to have little or no experience with the title subjects) to PHP and MySQL for the purpose of creating dynamic Internet sites. It teaches the same skills as introductory Active Server Pages (ASP) and ColdFusion books--technologies that address the same niche.

It runs on the popular programs MySQL (or any SQL database),Apache, and PHP, yet the administrator does not need to know any of theseprograms in order to use PHP-Nuke.PHP-Nuke has two main audiences: 1) companies who are in record numbersestablishing intranet Web portals to help organize information on theirnetworks and improve interoffice communications. More companies are usingpublic Web portals to engage, inform, and retain customers; 2) ISP customerswho are receiving PHP-Nuke as an easy-to-use value-add from their ISPs. TheISP push is leading MANY customers to be interested in PHP-Nuke (sincethey get it for free with their Web hosting), but at a loss for how to go aboutusing it.

In Detail
Social Networking has quickly become a very popular activity on the Internet, particularly with the emergence of sites like Facebook and MySpace. PHP is a flexible web development language used on a wide variety of sites, including Facebook and Yahoo! But building a social networking site from scratch using PHP involves some complex logic, and also some serious coding.
This book will demonstrate how to create, maintain, and extend a powerful social network site. It shows how to create your own flexible social networking framework, allowing users to sign up, customize their profile, befriend other users, share information, communicate, interact with one another, and much more.

Advanced PHP Programming Book
Publisher: Sams | ISBN: 0672325616 | edition 2004 | PDF | 673 pages | 11,6 mb
Over the past three years PHP has evolved from being a niche language used to add dynamic functionality to small sites to a powerful tool making strong inroads into large-scale, business-critical Web systems.
The rapid maturation of PHP has created a skeptical population of users from more traditional "enterprise" languages who question the readiness and ability of PHP to scale, as well as a large population of PHP developers without formal computer science backgrounds who have learned through the hands-on experimentation while developing small and midsize applications in PHP.

In Detail
Even if you find writing PHP code easy, writing code that is efficient and easy to maintain and reuse is not so straightforward. Self-taught PHP developers and programmers transitioning from other languages often lack the knowledge to work with PHP on an enterprise level. They need to take their PHP development skills to that level by learning the skills and tools necessary to write maintainable and efficient code.
This book will enable you to take your PHP development skills to an enterprise level by teaching you the skills and tools necessary to write maintainable and efficient code. You will learn how to perform activities such as unit testing, enforcing coding standards, automating deployment, and interactive debugging using tools created for PHP developers - all the information in one place. Your code will be more maintainable, efficient, and self-documented.
From the design phase to actually deploying the application, you will learn concepts and apply them using the best-of-breed tools available in PHP.
Experienced developers looking for expertise in PHP development will learn how to follow best practices within the world of PHP. The book contains many well-documented code samples and recipes that can be used as a starting point for producing quality code.
Specifically, you will learn to design an application with UML, code it in Eclipse with PDT, document it with phpDocumentor, debug it interactively with Xdebug, test it by writing PHPUnit tests, manage source code in Subversion, speed up development and increase stability by using Zend Framework, pull everything together using continuous integration, and deploy the application automatically with Phing - all in one book. The author's experience in PHP development enables him to share insights on using enterprise tools, in a clear and friendly way.
An in-depth look at best-of-breed enterprise-level tools, methodologies, and tips for professional PHP developers to write maintainable, efficient code
